广州市作为粤菜的代表性城市、发源地和大本营,应参与世界“美食之都”的申创工作。一方面,以城市身份参与国际非政府组织的文化多样性保护活动,积极发扬中华优秀的餐饮文化,在全球范围内交流和展示美食文化,推动粤菜走向世界;另一方面,也可通过申报世界“美食之都”,围绕美食品牌打造创意城市网络,促进广州创意产业的发展,优化广州的城市品牌形象,提高城市创新能力和文化软实力,为广州创建枢纽型网络城市提供一个新的抓手。
<<Guangzhou is a representative city,cradle and big camp of the Cantonese Cuisine. Therefore,it is quite natural for Guangzhou to apply for the World “City of Gastronomy”. On the one hand,Guangzhou has participated in culture diversity protection activities held by international NGOs,actively carried forward the fine food culture of the Chinese nation,demonstrated the food culture worldwide,and displayed the Cantonese Cuisine in the international arena. On the other hand,Guangzhou can apply for the World “City of Gastronomy” by creating a creative city network revolving around delicacy brands to promote development of Guangzhou's creative industries,optimize Guangzhou's city brand image,and improve Guangzhou's innovation and culture soft power. To sum up,all this can create a new opportunity for Guangzhou's building of a hub-type network city.
